Your group is to explore the similarities and differences between operational management and project management. To complete this learning activity:
1. Each group member is required to (individually) compare the management function and roles from Module 1.1 with the 10 elements of project management as identified by the Project Management Institute.
2. Discuss the similarities and differences between operational and project management and identify what operational and project managers can learn from each other.
3. Please write your response using no more than 250 words.
4. Post your analysis in your group’s discussion forum.

MGT 600 Module 2.1 Learning Activity 1 Communication Styles
Please read this activity in conjunction with the Assessment 1 Brief. It is to be completed and included as part of your group discussions for Assessment 1.
The purpose of this activity is to help your group to identify a communication style questionnaire/survey from a reliable source.
1. Each member of the group is required to suggest a survey to use and then the group must choose (negotiate) which one will be used by all group members.
2. You are then required to complete the questionnaire/survey and post the results into your groups’ discussion forum in Blackboard along with a brief summary (up to 250 word)) of what these results mean for you in your role as a manager (now or in the future).
3. Be sure to comment on each other’s posts a (using 100-200 words) and build a discussion.
4. Finally, you need to share with your group the dos and don’ts when it comes to communicating with you. Include these in your group discussion forum.
